Understand the official game loop

1. Enter a dangerous area. Official descriptions frame each run around combat, looting and the risk of meeting both corrupted creatures and rival players.
2. Collect Gyldenblood and relics. The exact launch economy and optimal loot priorities are not yet documented here.
3. Decide when to extract. Staying longer may expose the run to more fights and loss.
4. Return successfully. The official site describes defeating a Returner Woodling and using a Soul of Return to leave with the haul.

Choose a class by playstyle, not a tier list

Official sources describe six classes and two weapon stances for each class. Before launch testing, the honest choice is based on preferred range, mobility and team role—not an unsupported ranking. See the classes overview for the names currently confirmed in first-party text.

Plan your first sessions conservatively

For a high-loss extraction game, a sensible learning objective is to understand controls, exits and risk before optimizing damage. This is general orientation rather than a claim about the best launch strategy. Record anything that differs on July 29 so this guide can be corrected.
