Mistfall Hunter Builds publishes independent, source-backed guides for players. This policy explains how we choose topics, verify claims, label uncertainty and separate editorial decisions from monetization.
Our editorial purpose
Each page should help a player complete a specific task: confirm a current launch or platform fact, understand a game system, prepare for a session, troubleshoot a problem or evaluate a build method. We do not publish filler pages to target minor keyword variations.
Evidence standards
We use three evidence labels:
- Official-source verified: the claim is supported by a current developer announcement, patch note, platform-holder article, support page or store listing.
- Community report: a public forum or social post shows what players are asking or experiencing. It does not prove the cause, fix, ranking or frequency of a problem.
- Hands-on tested: the page records the platform, game version, setup, method, result and relevant limitations. If those details are missing, the page must not imply first-hand testing.
Official sources establish what the developer or platform says. They do not replace repeatable gameplay testing for performance, balance or “best” claims.
Writing and review process
- Define the player question and decide whether the page has a distinct purpose.
- Collect the strongest available first-party sources and record the date checked.
- Separate confirmed facts, attributed community observations and editorial inference.
- Write the direct answer first, then add method, limitations, related tasks and sources.
- Check links, dates, internal navigation, unsupported superlatives and version-sensitive claims before publication.
Software tools may assist with source organization, link checks, formatting and consistency review. They do not make a claim true. Published factual claims are reviewed against the cited source, and the site does not invent gameplay experience, quotations, statistics or test results.
Updates and freshness
Patch notes, maintenance announcements, roadmap changes, store revisions and credible correction reports can trigger a new review. A material update should change the visible review date or change note. If a page no longer has a distinct useful purpose, it should be consolidated or retired with a redirect.
Independence and monetization
Editorial conclusions are not sold. A future advertiser, affiliate partner or sponsor may not buy a ranking, require positive coverage or prevent a correction. Paid and commission-bearing relationships must be disclosed near the relevant recommendation and in the site’s Affiliate Disclosure.
Media and rights
Original editorial artwork is labelled as such. Game screenshots, names, logos and other publisher assets remain the property of their respective owners and are used only for identification, commentary or explanation. Rights concerns can be reported through the Contact page.
Corrections
Factual errors, outdated sources and broken links are handled under the Corrections Policy. Please include the affected URL, the statement in question and the strongest available source.
